The Flapper

Holy cow I havn't uploaded anything on here for forever.

I'm really sorry about not being around much everyone... School was just winding down and many projects were due and tests to be taken, and now I am having college and job things to do, and THEN in july I will be on vacation for 2 weeks. It seems like time is going by veryyyyy quickly- like I don't have any time to myself. *sigh*

Sooo anyway.

I LOVE the flapper style. LOVE it. I love the hair, love the clothes. Just love.

Soooo I feel as though I must go on a flapper drawing bonanza. As usual, it will probably be mostly "chubby" flappers though. Why? Because I myself and of the chubber variety and like to draw characters who look like me. I'm selfish. lol. (And I'm not using "fat" because if I use the word fat I'll get a slew of people saying "that's not fat!" or something. I just don't feel like getting political so I'll stick with "chubby", but I am not afraid to refer to myself as fat. It's not an insult.)

I have also been debating what to do with my hair for awhile now. It's about medium length now- not as short as it was (here's a picture [link] It's probably alittle bit longer than that, since that picture was taken almost a month ago). I wouldn't mind letting it grow long (like Christina Yang/Sandra Oh from Grey's Anatomy- love her hair). I think mine could look that awesome if i let it grow. Buttttt on the other hand, it is SUCH a pain dealing with my hair, even right now! Plus, it's summer, and that means it's getting hot. Having a big head of thick hair is just unnerving. And it's a pain to deal with. Blarg. I don't knowww...

So I was just sketching to see how I would want my flapper hair to look. Then it turned into what would my flapper dress look like. And then I just though, Hey, why not make this a relatively nice sketch style drawing and upload it in my art account? So I did. It isn't the best sketch in the universe, but I drew it in maybe 10 minutes tops. I like it anyway.

So let me know what you think about the hairstyle (and the drawing..Duh. lol)... I had a post on my blog about me debating the hair ([link]) and I still don't know what I want to do... I just like to be different with my hair. But at the same time I feel a bit guilty cutting off so much of my curls.

Well, anyway, let me know what you think. I KNOW that I have some drawing in my sketchbook that are actually almost done, which I may have uploaded by this weekend, and a few that i am close to finishing which may be uploaded next week. So I hope to have more stuff in the future lol.
